HHH and Stephanie?

I asked a question a while back if Steph and HHH were married in storyline. The answer was no. If so, then whats with Stephs cutiesy smile when HHH said Hi Steph at Raw ?

I think it is more of a joke. The storylines say they aren't married, but all of the fans know in real life that they are. So, they make little jokes about it, like when Triple H said "I'll see you at home" as Steph walked out of the ring Monday Night.

During the Mcmahon-Helmsley era / latter half of the Attitude era, they were married in kayfabe, this angle started in Novenber '99 and lasted untill July 2002, ending with Triple H signing the Divorce papers at that years Vengence. However since then Triple H and Stephanie have got married to each other in real life, the ceremony took place in Ocotber 2003.

The storyline was the Stephanie was orignally involved with an ex member of the corporation and union stables, and started a fued with Shane McMahon who disapproved of Steph's choice of partner. This fued would end with a "Love her or leave her match" at Summerslam '99, which Test won the match and the right to get to become engaged. The on screen wedding was sheduled to take place on Raw, a couple of weeks after Survivor Series. However on the actual night the twist was unveiled by Triple H, claiming that Steph was alrteady married to him. Video footage was shown to everyone in the arena via the titontron (and broadcast to all the viewers at home) of a drive thru ceremony in Las Vegas, with Steph being a drugged passenger, and therefore having no memory of the whole event. Soon after after which a futher twist emerged at Armaggeddon, when Steph aided her husband in to inflice injuries to her father suring their match. The following night it was revealed that the marriage was actually a revenge plot, in retaliation against being kidnapped by Undertaker's Minstry of Darkness stable, several month's previous. Developments of the McMahon Helmley era, included both Triple H, and Stephanie holding singles titles (WWF/E Championship and Women's title respectivly), A fatal four way elimination match at Wresltemania 2000, which started off with a Mcmahon in every corner, only for them to all team up and help Triple H defend the belt (except linda, who remained in the opposite corner). A love triangle invloving Kurt Angle, which ended at Unforgiven by Steph costing Kurt the match and declaring her loyalty to her husband. And Stone Cold Steve Austin's alliance with Vince Mcmahon, where Triple H beomce co holder of the tag team titles with him, and Stpeh as their manager.

The on screen split began after Triple H had returned form a career threatening injury, and Steph faked a pregenacy in order to get husband to renew their wedding vows. However once again the onscreen wedding came with a twist, ths time Triple H learning the pregnancy was fake and publically announcing his intention to end the realtionship. After which Steph quickly aligned with the then Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho, who was scehduled to defend the title against her Husband at Wrestlemania 18. (Triple H had won the royal rumble). Developments of the feud included a match at No way out when Triple H and Kurt angle competed for the No 1 contender's spot, with Steph as guest referee. Triple H splitting leverything down the middle literally. He had Steph's corvette cut in half, giving her only the front half, stating that he wasn't told which half she wanted.
This angle ended at Vengence that year, after all wrestler's signed to both Raw and Smackdown, were declared free to move to the other, if they wanted to. At the time Triple H was under contract to Smackdown, where Stephanie had been instated as general manager, only he hadn't declared wether he would stay, or go to Raw. First Triple H signed his divorce papers, but had a run in with Raw's GM Eric Bishoff, who accuse him of signing to Smackdown. After putting Eric straight, he later wetn to the ring were both GM's made their case for why he should choose their brand over the other. The final decision was he was going over to Raw.

Since the storyline first began the couple have shared a legit relationship off screen which as I stated at the start of this they are now married in real ife. Last year Steph gave birth to their first child, which was publically announced contradicting all of the storylines previously used.
