Yes, particularly for breastfed babies. Often it is a sign that they feed little and often and so they get a lot of foremilk, which is watery, and less hindmilk, which is fatty and comes later in the feed. If you breastfeed, try letting the baby finish one breast before switching, if you do switch. If weight gain is fine and there are no signs of the baby being unwell such as fever then all is ok.

Yes, normally the third BM or so after the black tarry muconium. Then it gradually becomes yellowish, and should be runny if you're breastfeeding, peanut butter consistency if you're giving formula. If you are using formula you might see other colors later, but I'm not sure - I'm breastfeeding and in that case they're supposed to stay runny and yellowish for quite a while until you introduce food at around 6 months.

Green, Yellow, White, Black, Brown, Speckled.

Baby Poo is the closest thing to a toxic waste that a human being can produce!

Anything goes (except Red or Blue). Purple is even ok if the little turd factory has been eating lots of dark fruit.

green, yellow, orange, any color but blood red or white is fine.

You might have some brick dust, or dark DARK blood colored poo a few times if your baby had jaundice. Thats normal.

White is a sign that the liver is shutting down.

Any other color is normal and fine, its caused by the natural needed bacteria in the gut.

Yes, it's a shock if your'e not expecting it but it soon stops. I's the residued from pre birth swallowing, and the first digested colostrum (or formula if you go that route). It should not last long, and soon.... you'll get vile yellow, green, mustard, god awfull colours !! Look out for black or red. If you get those, maybe report it to your health care worker, health visitor or doctor.

Nappies. . . . God I'm glad my kid's way past that now !

Yes, especially if they are eating veggies. Their poo usually has to do with what is in their diet. You only have to worry when the consistency is very hard and black.
