This actually is a good topic, and you could write a lot if you sat down and thought it through.
In the beginning of the play, Shakespeare has muses tell us of the tragic end of Romeo and Juliet. This is the most obvious use of fate. Did Romeo and Juliet HAVE to die? Were they, as Shakespeare tells us, "star-crossed lovers" who could never be together in life? Consider the fued of their families... because of how much the Capulets and Montagues hated each other, could this play only end in death?
Try not to just put down obvious answers, but really consider the events that led to their death, and whether Romeo and Juliet had any control over the feuding around them. Then you can get three pages out of this (or more).
Good luck!

In the beginning of the play Shakespeare has the muses tell us of the star crossed lovers. This is tangible evidence of the involvement of fate. Fate is present throughout the play. The hatred between the families, could Romeo and Juliet ever live together happily with so much hatred between their families. Romeo missing the message from Juliet telling him of her plan. Juliet waking up just after Romeo has killed himself. The intervention of the Juliet's nurse. Romeo killing Juliet's cousin. If even one of these things had happened differently they may have ended up living happily ever after. It was their fate to love and die together and everything that happened was fates way of making sure that this happened. Without their tragic love affair their families would have probably ended up killing each other off, with the death of their children they made peace. Maybe this was fates way of bringing two families together that otherwise would have never even talked. By their Romeo and Juliet's death fate accomplished peace between the two families. Hope this helps. Just my opinion.

Fate had a lot to do. Juliet and Romeo did not know of each other existence because of their families. Juliet was suppose to marry Paris When they finally meet they both know that they could never be together as they wanted and they did not want to live without each other. Romero never got word about the plan Friar Lawrence had to reunite them so both of them took their lives.

There was a generally accepted belief in Elizabethan times that fate controlled one's life and there really was nothing anyone could do about it. This is core to all of Shakespeare's tragedies.
