Any that come to my address are sent by Gmail to the spam folder online and never downloaded with my e-mail. You get them from more than those sites too. If you have a thoughtful friend who forwards your e-mails to someone else without deleting your address, it can be harvested by spammers. Viruses harvest e-mail addresses from e-mail programs. Many other ways to get an e-mail address. You've done well. Don't forward from your main address and try to keep it out of "auto update" your contacts programs that your friends run.
Congrats on clean mail.

No, but I do currently have a $39,000,000 USD inheritance that was left to me by my late uncle. He was a Nigerian diplomat. I cannot get the money because I must pay a fee of $12,000 USD. If anyone can help with the fee, I would be willing to pay you 10 percent of the inheritance $3,900,000 USD.
Thank you and God bless you.

I have actually received them. It is always the same M.O.; they have supposedly suffered some type of abuse and they have millions of dollars in the bank that they can't access unless you send a few dollars and then they are willing to share it with you. I have responded to a few of them for amusement. I'll write them something like: Dude, this is uncanny, I was just getting ready to write to you and was going to ask you the same thing. Please write back if you can help me. (They never do)

Receiving a Scan email is an everyday thing. Delete, delete, delete.
And do not open any email with the words "Postcard" even if you know the sender.
It will crash your Hard Drive.

I get them all the time, and I don't understand why they don't go into my bulk mail......I am always winning some kind of lottery! Or I am a beneficiary to some unknown person or company! I don't even look at them, just delete them.

When your friend changes her password she should also look for other tampering in the account settings. A spammer with the password could change the alternate contact email, and that would enable him to obtain new passwords.

I would be safe to say, everyone gets Scam mails. Rule of thumb, Never open "any" mail that you do not know "who" sent it. Your asking for trouble if you do with a Please Get Me Message!
