I hadn't even thought about that part of being with a certain person in my life. In fact, we haven't really discussed family much at all.
I guess it would bother me because I care about him and would want to be accepted, but if he still wanted to be with me knowing his family didn't like me, we would still make it work. After all, it is his feelings for me that matter the most.

Wow! I too might experience like she did not fee me or the dating. Is the dating solid in all different areas? Are you 'complicated to purchase for' reason you purchase what you desire once you desire it? possibly the subsequent trip that comes up you ought to indicate you collectively purchase some thing for the two certainly one of you. Like a visit or super demonstrate screen television? some thing extravagant. this might get rid of the concern. I advise if each and every thing else is appropriate that is incredibly not the tip of the worldwide. it incredibly is in basic terms an irritant.

It would bother me initially, but my self esteem is OK, so I would feel (and have felt, correctly) that over time they would see that I am not that bad and start coming around. I would certainly keep my best foot forward, so to speak, until I was comfortable that I was accepted,
Most people, if you give them a chance, are likeable....some just have to grow on you a little bit.

To a certain extent I think it would but ultimately as long as my partner loved me, the rest doesn't matter. Just between me and you - I can't stand my partner's family! ;)

It is hard not to let it bother you, but I was in that situation in the very beginning with my first husband. I tried to focus on other things and consider it as their loss, and eventually, they came around.

they actually didn't at first because I'm Asian American and they found out that I can make sushi and they love that so I'm accepted and they went to Japan with me this august to meet some of my Japanese family and Christmas is when they get to meet the rest of my family they haven't meet yet and I'm excited and so is my fiancee.

When something like that occurs, I get really busy with something else. I won't "sit" in the mess, I'm out making new friends.
Peace.

When I was 20 - yes. But, not now. I'm 40 years old and getting too old to care. So what.

It bothers me a lot. I would think that if they love him they would want his happiness above all else and love me because they trust him to have been raised to make good choices... me being one of them. (a good choice) Not to mention that sadly, it seems them not liking me makes him question us.
