I do my best not to make promises! Life happens and ever changing circumstances can prevent you from keeping a promise that you made, so I prefer not to make a promise.
If I made a promise then I would make good on it....
I promise!

I make them and keep them to the best of my abilties. I feel horrible when I can't keep them, but that only happens once in a blue moon.
I have a friend, however, who makes them, but NEVER ever keeps them. It's annoying and drives me mad, but I've gotten use to it. I know to never listen to his promises. Nod and smile, nod and smile.
