by her own FATHER!! because she decided to be her own person, and chose to wear western dress over the traditional muslim garb. what's with these people?? this is worthy of murder? is this what your religion teaches you? it amazes and disgusts me that if we go to their countries, by law, women must wear their garments but when they come here, or canada, they think they can do anything they want in the name of their god. i'll keep mine, thank you.

Killing someone is truly forbidden in Islam, unless you are in a battle, in which case you can kill only those who are trying to kill you.

But, from the Arabian culture, fathers protect their daughters so much and want them to be labeled "Angels". If you really think about it, almost all fathers are the same way. They don't want to their daughters to be showing off their breasts and butts, and gettin' it on with men. Also, if you look back couple of decades ago (60-80 years ago), for a girl to come to lose virginity before marriage was almost a crime, and emotionally kills parents.

But that has changed. Western and European women became, what was considered only half a century ago, "whores". They go around sleeping with whom ever they label as "date" or "boyfriend".

But hey, who am I to judge?

Things like this disgust me as well! People do things and than just say "my religion gives me right" its pathetic and ppl should not mix law and politics with religion SERIOUSLY!!!!! religion should be all together separate. But if it bothered the women so much they would have done something about it years ago like the women in the USA did so I wouldnt trouble over it too much I used to and it did nothing to help my consciousness best thing to do is just not worry about it bcause obviously it doesnt bother the women enough for them to fight back only a small amount rebel I hope one day they grow some guts and decide to do something about this unfairness though

So hearbreakingly sad ....

I have live all over the U.S. and have travelled outside our country. I've witnessed at least 5 times, fathers introducing young teenage daughters to older men from their country (arranged marriages). This was in large cities, open public places (apartment lobby, coffee shop, rooftop solarium decks, public areas ...). The young women would burst into tears and say that they didn't want to marry this person. I was just sitting and minding my own business and I heard this! It was very, very heartbreaking. Can you imagine having to marry someone that you did not know and did not love? These young women were Americanized/Westernized.

Which country are you talking about?
In my country you do not have to wear a veil , in fact there are plenty of Muslims out there who would never wear one including me.
Sometimes I think people just write things like that in order to make other people hate Muslims even more.
I could pick the pig farmer, who murdred I don't know how many women and say 'look this the western world' Would you like that?
Besides why don't you start looking at what's going on in your part of the world. Some Jews believe that if a man sees a woman's hair it considered comitting adultery, but I also know there are plenty of Jews if not most who would disagree.

My father is muslim , but I don't wear no garment of such kind I guess because I wasn't raised with him. I dress normally. I understand what you mean because their religion look at women like if they were nothing and that sickins me til this day. There is a small percentage that's not like that.

Secondly, I agree that Muslim countries' laws are too strict. Saudi Arabia punishes homosexuality by death. Nowhere else does it do that.
