In court, I mean - they have this pig farmer who killed like 30 prostitutes and they don't show pictures of the trial

That 's not just in Canada and don't you think flash bulbs could be a bit distracting? It depends on if the judge ordered it so. There have been trials here in the US where a sketch artist was employed....

It was the same way for a long time in the US. Courts did not want to allow cameras in the court room as they thought it would potentially affect the trial.

It's not just Canada. Many countries don't allow cameras in court. Anyway, why do you want to see this guy who killed 30 people?

This is U.S. law, too. You are not allowed to take photographs in a court of law.
