it is not that easy my friend..replacing the fuel for your car may also require changingthe whole engine,
but if your car engine was desiged for Gas and LPG it may not require you changing the whole fuel system but honestly i've never heared of LPG as fuel for an engine.

sanatara, hi! please do no longer use an LPG cylinder for powering your automobile... while you're in India, this is been banned with the help of the government of India, as have maximum different countries too... right here are the excuses: a million. LPG is extremely compressed, and fairly explosive. if somebody rear-ends you automobile, or in case you have an twist of destiny, and if the cylinder explodes, it could injury each thing in a radius of upto 70meters (if this is complete)... which means effective-death for you and all and sundry close to you. 2. gas escaping on the severe-fee required with the help of a automobile engine makes the cylinder cool very quickly, and the gas exists at a almost frozen state... this reasons the tube to weaken, and the valves too... if the gas would not leak and ignite, this is going to atleast casue an rather undesirable smell (the smell of gas) to top off you automobile 24/7, and all and sundry in the back of your automobile would be waiting to sniff it too, because of the fact this is freezing temperature prevents a sparkling burn interior the engine, and lines get away throughout the exhaust... 3. the LPG cylinders for homestead use have been backed with the help of the government in an attempt to help the wide-unfold public, and to advance the known of residing for each man or woman... utilising it for the different objective different than cooking in an area of living is a penal complex-able offense, and your automobile would be seized too. even with the incontrovertible fact that, there's a fashion out. you may set up a CNG kit (Compressed organic gas), as those are secure, non-explosive, almost the same fee as LPG, do no longer smell in any respect, have a sparkling burn, and are additionally approved with the help of the government of India. desire this helped... secure using! savour!

LPG is safe, local dealers in this fuel may have the systems for it.
I was thinking about propane, and the problem that I ran into is the installation of the fuel tank (must be outside and not in a trunk).

This is not suggested unless you own a taxi cab. LPG(liquid petrolium gas(PROPANE)) has a lower fuel energy than gasoline and refilling could become a nightmare (depending where you live) All LPG systems MUST be installed by a licensed technician and certified.
