Laki is a Greek style nickname. We are Greek/Arabic couple. I'm trying to cover all bases!

You can pronounce it Laith or Leith. I think Leith is the Classical Arabic pronunciation, while laith is the informal/modern Arabic way.

It's different, but not too "far out", and if the meaning is special to you, then it's a wonderful choice. Will you be using a middle name? That might be a tough one to decide on, with the TH sound at the end of the first name.

Is this kind of like Leith? it's Gaelic Leathan or Leithan...in your case maybe Laithan...it means "Broad"...I think it's really nice.

My friend's called Laith. He changed it before he started school to his middle name; David.
I guess he didn't like.
Im not being funny here. He actually switched his names around before starting school.
Im actually impartial to the name Laith, it sounds fine to me.

I don't care for it, honestly.
And how you get Laki out of Laith?

Its different. If it fits your ethnicity and you like it then it doesn't matter what other people think.
