I attempted to research this for you, but I came up empty-handed. Are you positive this is the title?

The closest guess I can make is perhaps the “I'd rather be like I am” monologue in "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner." You can read the original words on page 6 of "New and Collected Works" by Alan Sillitoe. Though I haven't watched the film in years, I'm thinking the scripted words in the movie may be what you are really seeking. That said, I have not yet been able to locate a copy of the script online.
