Divorce is typically more difficult for children & it never ceases to amaze me how divorce makes it,s mark on everyone in a family, not just a persons own children but nieces & nephews & grandchildren etc, the best advice I can give is to sit down with the kids & explain to them the truth.but keep it short, dont go thru the ugly details, just keep it simple, as far as the gift goes that they bought, find out where their god-father is located & take them to the local post office & ship it out to him, as this will make them feel really good about themselves, because giving is always much more rewarding then getting, then just carry on with life, just dont make a huge issue out of the divorce. Good Luck

Just tell them that Uncle Bo cannot make it for Christmas, but arrange for a time for them to see him before or after the holiday.

Your sister divorced him - not his Godchildren. They have a right to maintain a relationship.

tell them he can't make it for christmas, but they can see him the next day, and take them there or invite him over....just because the marriage hasn't worked out does not mean you or your children cannot see him...just schedule visits separately from nana's.

If you know that he's not going to be there, make arrangements to drop the present off and tell them that's how it's going to be this year.

i read a report on how the kids these days can't read or write as well as they did in the past.

that's because their teachers are here on Y!A and not teaching as they should.
