The bible says nothing about masturbating being a sin. You will not go to hell. You are right lust is the sin, not masturbating. Now that being said, watching porno and masturbating that is a sin. Jesus said, that to look at a woman with lust is the same as having commited adultery with her. If you are not looking at someone, lusting and masturbating, nah have fun.

Okay, masturbating is NOT a sin. The Bible NEVER mentions it as a sin in the bible. It can turn into something sinful if you lust while you do it. The Bible says not to lust, and it's very hard not to while you masturbate. But while you do it, just thank God that it makes you feel good. Orgasming a few times a week is actually beneficial to your health. Like that guy said, lusting is the same as commiting adultery in your heart. But if the woman you think about is your wife, it's okay because you can't commit adultery with your wife. But if not, you should confess to God. But it is okay to masturbate, and even if you don't, you'll still ejaculate about once every month or so involuntarily because that's how God made you.

masturbating is a normal part of puberty, when hormone levels rise and things begin to develop masturbating is a part of discovering your body and that is not sin, the sin is in the lust or fantasy giving rise to the orgasm it's self, so if you can enjoy yourself without lusting about a person or another individual, then is it sin? only you can answer this question because sin is described by your faith not mine or some one elses but yours, if you must be sure anything you use in or on your vagina is clean as you can give yourself a bacterial infection!

Ok folks, masturbation is NOT a sin. The place that religious personnel pull this "sin" from is in the book of Genesis, from a man by the name of Onan (I'm sure you've heard masturbation referred to as Onanism). In the story of Onan, Onan's eldest brother dies, and leaves a wife and no children. Because the brother was a devout follower of God, God told Onan's other brothers to get her pregnant, so that she may have an heir. They all disobey God in one way or another and he kills them. Then, it's Onan's turn. Instead of impregnating his brother's wife, he masturbates, disobeying God, and earning his death. Onan's youngest brother finally gets the woman pregnant. If you notice, God did not smite Onan for just masturbating. He smote him for disobeying him and masturbating while he was ordered to get a woman pregnant. That is not the same thing. Religious personnel, however, tend to take the fact that Onan was smitten for masturbating and then warp it to mean that it is a sin to masturbate, when the only real sin was the disobedience to God. Read the Bible. It's there. Don't just take everything you are told to be absolute, actually form your own opinions about what is taught through your holy books.

All religions are manmade. So you won't go to hell or heaven Lusting is supposedly sinful, but masterbation itself is not mentioned in the bible as being sinful. I would imagine those 12 disciples and their leader wandering around Israel probably enjoyed themselves, sexual arousal is a natural and normal animal process, and humans are just smart animals. Enjoy yourself and don't stress over your own body function. .

Every sin in the bible has an example of someone performing the sin, if someone can find you an example of someone masturbating in the bible then it's a sin, the flesh is weak and it's better than fornication and there's only one judge

wel... the bible doesn't really talk about masterbating!! haha... but i believe that it is a sin. Sexual sin involves committing a sexual act when it is deemed. So, for example sex before marriage is a sin, but I'm not sure about masterbation... I suppose it is a sexual act, but when is it not deemed... im not sure! But everyone is going to hell, unless they turn to Jesus for Salvation!! Good living or works do NOT get you into heaven, it's turning to Jesus, and asking him to forgive you for all your sins, and to help you live your life FOR HIM!!

HA HA! that stupid of course its not, its one of the most natural things in the world, monkeys do it, and they where around before us, if you are religious and you haven't got anything better to do with your life that talk and pray to your foney god, then yes it is a sin, but otherwise your just being stupid.
