the relay blows about every four to six weeks, pop a new one in and it starts right up and is fine for a while, does anybody have any clues, i am leaning toward a bad ground, i would appreciate any help that would lead me to the problem, it does have a new gm installed pump

I think your on the right track looking for a bad connection or a bad ground. was the pump replace before or after this problem with the relay started. If it began after the pump was replaced I'd be looking at something that was done during the replacement. If not I'd check wiring from pump to the relay, pay special attention to connectors and areas where a wire may have rubbed into the frame or something like that,
Typically this will blow a fuse not a relay. So like you thought to begin with I'd be checking for grounds loose or broken.

Wiring problems can be very hard to find just be patient and thorough you'll find it I'm sure.

In my past experiences I've seen a crimped wire between the bed and frame causing an open to the fuel pump asm. I would start by tracing your wires and checking them

it sounds like they squished a wire look /follow thewires from the pump back look for if they set the bedon the wire harness or something also te wire couls have rubbed through look at where it rubs next to te frame
