OK, here it is...
1. If you were to suspend reality and agree to vote for someone in the opposite political party as you, which of the major candidates would you vote for, and why?
2. Can you say something nice (sincerely, not sarcasm) about Hillary, if you're a GOP'er, and something nice about Bush if you're a Dem?

I'll go first... I'm a republican, for the record.
1. Obama, because he seems like he's at least an honest, decent fellow. We need a dose of that after 20 years of the Bush/Clinton stench in the white house.
2. Hillary probably genuinely cares about the issues she's passionate about, such as health care, and the environment. And I don't think she would be weak on national security.

I see the sarcasm patrol is out in full force this morning. I guess some of y'all aren't clever enough to come up with something genuine.

I am a Dem. If I had to vote for a Republican, it would be Giuliani because I agree with his viewpoint on social issues. I also think he would be less prone to wear his religion on his sleeve. I'm really sick of that from both parties at the moment. I also think he would be more inclined than the other Republicans to try to work the the Democrats to get some things done. We have to stop all the polarizing politics as usual and find common ground to solve a lot of serious problems.
As for President Bush. Boy, that's a hard one. I guess I would have to say he loves this country and honestly believes what he is doing is the right thing. History will have to answer that one.
By the way, I starred your question because it make everyone get out of their comfort zone a little and do some constructive thinking without the typical negative discourse you usually see on questions.

If forced to vote Democrat, I would vote for Obama. I tend to agree with you as far as his honesty. I also agree that Hillary would not be weak on national security, however I just can't buy into nationalized healthcare. If one reads the pro's vs. con's about this issue you will see the con's outweigh the pro's. I appreciate this question because I feel although we may have different political views there is far too much sarcasm and hate speach between the two groups. I'll admit I have been guilty of this in the past, although I tend to lean more towards sarcasm than hate. Have a great day, friend.

If I had to vote Democratic, I'd choose Obama. I think a fresh start is better than how the democrats have acted in the past... so I'd hope that he would make some better decisions and he seems like a good guy.
Something nice about Hillary... although I don't like her and don't support her agenda on just about anything, I congratulate her for going at it as hard as she is. She isn't a wuss and she is willing to play the game. She is a smart lady... I don't like her, but she is smart.
*However, I don't think it is a good comparison... a current president who has spent several years in the game with some tragic situations arising during his term - to a senator who spent her time in the white house as a wife and mother.

For the record, I'm a Democrat.
1. Mitt Romney, because I believe he is an honest man and would try prodiguously to make a good President.
2. Even though I don't agree with everything President Bush has done, I think he has done his job as President with much conviction.
Edit: I knew there would be some answerers who would not take your question seriously. They just cannot pass up any opportunity to slam those they don't like.

1. As a conservative, my answer would be Barack Obama. I think he's a good man, and he's easy to listen to. Plus I think his ideas are more moderate than Hillary's or Edwards'.
2. Hillary seems to realize that we can't "cut and run" in Iraq. Whether we should have gone in, or not, we have to finish the job, and I think she realizes that.
Vote for Rudy!

For the record: Constitutionalist (Center - Right)
1. I guess the dems would be my closest rival so here we go:
Likewise as you sir, Obama. His lack of a record scares me to a point, and I like to make informed decisions. But, he seems sincere in what he says. The other candidates appear to be either fishy or full of themselves.
2. I have problems with Hilliary but Bush outweighs so I'll pick him as my target. Bush at lest tries to go across the isle on some issues even though I do not agree with that issue. He tries to be bi-partisan.

1) Hillary
2) Because she doesn't want to cut and run in Iraq. While I disagree with her views on a lot of things, she seems more willing to listen to opposing views. She also has experience not only as a political figure, but being a former first lady, know how things are run from the white house. ALL the other dem candidates are extremists.

I will always vote for the person best qualified for the job, and that is Senator Palpatine.
2. Can you say something nice (sincerely, not sarcasm) about Hillary, if you're a GOP'er, and something nice about Bush if you're a Dem?
Bush is the most honest president we have had since Clinton.
