Well kinda. But it's not that I lose enthusiasm. I feel as if they first gifts weren't good enough so I end up buying more expensive gifts. Last year, I spent about $1,000 on my wife alone. Started off with a bunch of suits, and nice little odds and ends type stuff. Then I lost interest in it and thought I'd buy her more stuff. Her main gift was a $400 coach purse.

I got most of my Christmas shopping done early November - and yes I did find that I overspent because I kept buying stuff even after I swore I was finished.

No not really I spend what I can afford and get it out of the way.

I did double buy once, it was a waste of time as i ended up buying crap for people.

I have not started yet. If I can get my rear in gear then I will go today. You are right, If I start to early I do tend to buy more. Thank gawd for mac & cheese!

I wish I could shop early. Both my kids and my bf have birthdays before xmas. I'm almost half finished with my shopping, I shopped my @ss off last weekend.
