Republicans don’t really care about the financial circumstances of poor people and middle class people. Their philosophy is that benefitting the rich will have a trickle down effect and financially benefit the entire society. This is a failed philosophy but to provide direct benefits to the majority of Americans is contrary to the current Republican basic ideology.

I don't hate poor people. I just won't let you to force me to work two days a week to support them so I can take home a paycheck for the other three days to support my family.
My family comes first.

Republicans don't hate poor people, or people who can't afford insurance. If you actually believe that, then you buy into the crap that is spoon fed to you by the head Democrats in Congress.

why do people feel it is the gov't responsiblity to provide insurance for them? If anyone should provide insurance it should be the state gov't? Believe me, we do not want the federal gov't to be in charge of our insurance needs...look what they did to the society security benefits....
