As you get older you will do it less. There is no harm in masturbation so don't worry. It will not cause you to be underweight, go blind or your palms to go hairy.

4 times a week is fine...and if that's your only exercise and you think that's why you're underweight, then Oprah's missing out on a good topic for a show!
It's perfectly fine. If you got to a point where you can't get out of your house because you're too busy taking care of yourself, then you have a problem.
But 4 times a week is no big deal. There are people who get if off like 7+ times a week...sometimes multiple times a day (if it's a slow day).
But you're young and you have all the energy flowing thru you...just take care of it so you don't get all pent up and then become a jerk in regular life.
But also, learn to connect with other people in the world as well. Marriage isn't only a matter of sex. You have to be able to talk and be around another person for the rest of your life. This is why marriages break up once the sex dwindles. You need to find a way to present yourself to your partner.
And the only thing I'd say about resisting the urges is....do it only if you're in a place that you'd be mortified if you got caught...like work, the parking lot of the mall or at a dinner party. If you're home....let 'er rip!

Masturbation is fine in moderation. Excessive masturbation can be problematic, but I'm not convinced that masturbating a few times per week is going to cause major problems for you.
My understanding is that, physiologically, one of the issues with excessive masturbation is that it creates a tendency for men to wish to climax more quickly than most of us would prefer when making love to a woman. If all you do is masturbate and never have intercourse, this could be a problem, as you may find your stamina lacking when it comes to relations with your wife. Not good.
If you want to curb your masturbation habit, you should avoid those things that trigger your desire to masturbate. For most men, that means avoiding pornography (and I mean this in its broadest sense by referring to anything designed to promote sexual arousal). This takes discipline because the viewing of pornography is addictive for many men, but like any other addictive behavior, avoiding pornography is likely easier if you have something to distract you from it. Read books instead of surfing the net, for example. Watch more sports and fewer sexy movies. Spend more time outdoors or out in public.
As far as your weight issue, I don't know of any relationship between masturbation and weight loss, but if you've come upon something there, write the book! I swear to you millions will line up to learn all about the masturbation diet!
Good luck, and don't sweat it too much. I think you're probably fine.

Neither so good nor bad properly; but you can soon notice, you don´t really need to do so often. Maybe you become addicted to it indeed and perhaps you´ll find a bit of difficulty for real sex relationship when you´re just a bit older. Nothing worse properly; just this. So just try to refrain a little bit by and by before it may become a defect, I mean, a flaw. Treat your own body the most natural and sane way you can, not forcing anything about your own nature. OK?

have fun with it. Masturbating is normal, even if you have a good sex life with your wife. It is there for you to play with.
As far a health issues. Most studies show that men who masturbate early in life and continue masturbation on a regular basis have a better chance of avoiding problems with their prostate.
Also it is a good stress reliever. There are a lot of men who use that to relax before important meetings.
So keep up the good work.

OK...masturbating isn't the cause of all evil. It can affect your marriage if you prefer doing it alone than with your wife...I suggests going out and getting new hobbies, take your mind off of it and stuff...I know it's hard. But if it's starting to get over your life you might have hypersexuliaty and that can be treated, but 4 times a week isn't that bad.

Hi There,
I'm 27, F, happily married, of healthy weight - and started same age as you AND still do it on average of 6 times a week.
Not sure you need to stop it, unless you want to. You could go see a licenced sex therapist. If you don't feel you need to stop, see a licenced nutritionist about your weight and be prepared to be open and communicative with your life partner.
Good Luck!

It is perfectly normal and wont hurt you in any way. As long as it isnt interfering with your daily activities, like making you late to work etc, there is no harm in it. A orgasm releases endorphins, the bodies feel good chemical, which should improve your appetite. 4 times a week isnt unusal for a guy your age. Relax and have fun!

Why would you stop? Nothing wrong with it, good and healthy and normal, and normal guys masterbate regularly well up into their 50's or more. Most every guy you see probably has masterbated in the last week or so. Or maybe that day, or in the past hour.
