ugh..I can`t stand women who say they should always obey there husbands, and women who won`t wear pants. Women who always do what there husbands tell them to and never think for themselves..ELIZABETH RICE HANDFORD, ANYONE? who agrees?

lol i wear pants and do what i want....i dont listen to my fiance..i was asking who agrees that its WRONG to listen to your hubbys. I think we need to think for ourselves

completely, but perhaps their mothers were the same. I am actually too strong of a woman, and complete opposite of subservient.

You sound very young minded. There is nothing wrong with "listening" to your husband and it hsould be a two way street. Last time I checked that's what marriage was about was both people working together heading the same direction with mutual love and respect. IF there is MUTUAL love and respect then both parties will listen to each other, think over their views and opinions of their mates and then make a decision with that in mind. Just because you "listen" to one another doesn't mean you follow like cattle. Hope you discover this soon and decipher the difference.

If that is what makes the woman happy then who are you to object?
The point of feminism is for women to have a choice what they want to do, not to just be forced into a different social role.
Were you to tell my fiance that she has to be the strong one and shouldnt listen to me then she would quietly ask me to throw you out of our house.
Whats right for you isnt right for everyone. Some people are submissive by nature and want to be taken care of, some arent--the only people who disgust me are close minded ones like you.

It depends as there are a number of people who do not like thinking for themselves. In this case, it is not wrong. However, I certainly would not encourage women to be subservient. Marriages work best as a partnership.

BTW - I'm an American woman married to a muslim. I don't obey my husband, I wear pants, I do what I want, and I think for myself.
