i have just purchased this exact dress.
i am 5ft 7, size 20 (though i bought a size 22 because im top heavy)
I am going to wear it with a red short sleeved cardigan and some 50s style black patent stillettoes with little bows on and black opaque tights.
Im thinking of some 50s style make up (black eyeliner, red lips)

I just want ppls opinion on this dress and if it is going to flatter my figure?
help appreciated!!

Love the dress, shoes, I'd suggest black sheer hose rather than tights. The shoes sound awesome. Can you describe the cardigan a little more?

The dress will definitely flatter your figure, the waist is fitted without being cinched in, so will accentuate your waist without adding undue weight to your bust and hips. The slight A line silhouette is perfect for you.

Offhand, I'd still say wear a long coat to stay warm until you get inside, and go without the cardigan. It's a nice, sexy style and shoes - well I envy anyone that can wear stillettos anyway - just go in there looking your sexy best! The hair and makeup ideas sound great. Have fun!!

i think thats a good idea- i like the cardigan idea. try red accessories it'll pop and be really 50s looking- red lipsick is a good touch- think marilin all the way!
but- im not crazy abount the opaques- go sheer/nude or not stockings at all- even though its winter a strapless is showing shoulder which is very sexy but the tights dont work- its tells people your trying to cover up your legs while trying to emphasize the shoulder- if your top heavy tights will definently emphasize everything bad. . .
in my opinion bare leg is fine, tights is very school girl and the 50s theme is far from that image- marilyn doesnt go for tights. i wouldnt either

Well the first option doesn't include a shirt so I'd go with the second. Just about any tie goes with a Black suit. Don't forget black dress socks.

yeh i think that will look great on you
because its corsetty it will pull your 'top heavy part' right in
if you have big arms (like me) the cardigan should be 3/4 or long sleeved because otherwise it will draw attention to your arms
also black is very slimming
brilliant choice
you will look gorgeous

btw heres a style advisor by trinny and susannah its great help

What's the word I'm looking for.. ah yes! GORGEOUS!!! =] Great choice, love the accessories etc you've chosen, only thing I'm not keen on is the black opaques, just go for nudes or perhaps bare legs.

I think you will look stunning !!

Off the shoulder numbers always suit top heavy girls as they draw the (guys') attention to your shoulders rather than your boobs !

Nice choice !

Thats a gorgeous outfit, but, please, don't so with opaque tights. Sheer black nylons, maybe even with a back seam, would complete a great outfit.
