i have 2000 jeep wrangler, which has always heated great, but this winter even when the jeep heats up, the air is always luke warm. I did replace air conditioner this summer.

What do you think the problem could be?

Feel the hoses going into the firewall for the heater core.
If one of them is hot and the other is not so hot, or even warm or cold, than you probably have a plugged heater core.

It could also be a stuck blend door or bad blend door actuator, but i have seen the heater core issue on those before. I think it is a little more common.

Jeeps have a heater core by-pass. Follow the heater hoses toward the firewall, you'll run into the bypass. Sometimes the vaccum line cracks and it cannot get vaccum to open and close. (or it just gets corrodid) If this happens the little door inside get stuck half or more closed and you will not get hot water to the heater core.

A stuck heater control valve can do it too.

A hose may not be hooked up properly.
Check that.
