There's either a lot of liars or a lot of saints on here and i know which i'll put my money on.

if i was in love and we had been together a long time, then no, i wouldn't walk away. if we'd been dating a couple of months and it wasn't serious, then yeah, probably I would and if the situation were reversed, i would expect the same from them.

If they were paralysed, I think walking away would just be rubbing it in... (-:

I wouldn't leave someone because of that, but you never know what the person would be like after that. I mean if they become distant and jaded and kind of give up on things, you can only take so much. I guess it would depend on their attitude with things. I'd like to think that a person I was with would realize that sometimes bad things happen and you move on. If that were the case, I wouldn't have a problem staying with them.

Unless you have been through it you do not know what you will do.All the faith in the world and good intentions are just that.It takes so much more. The endurance is more than you can write here.Too many life issues to have someone in a flippant mood to grade.I will tell you it takes all your soul and guts to survive it.It isn't for a day......"when you are so uplifted and gifted with a, I can do this attitude." Everyday brings a new challenge. Not just for them, but for anyone who puts them first.

If my hubby was in that situation there is no way i could leave him. Main factor being that i love him regardless of any disabilities, weight gain, weight loss, baldness etc.
It would be a massive strain on the family but it all comes down to love and commitment and everybody is different some people may not be able to cope.

If it was their own fault, definitely.

If not then it would probably depend on how serious the relationship was. It might be just too cruel to abandon someone after a serious tragedy if you were both very keen on each other.

Nor would I - that would be the action of a shallow, selfish and self obsessed person.

depends how serious the relationship. if we're just dating for fun, with no real plans for the future, sticking around bc of guilt is just lying to yourself and the other person.
