You are correct! I'm glad you said it! I have heard fat men talk about how unattractive fat women were, and I wanted to ask them if they owned a mirror! I went on an Internet date with a guy who was ten years older and fifty pounds fatter than his pictures. He flat out told me that he would not date a fat woman. This was not aimed at me. I'm underweight. But I thought, "Why would he think I would want to go out with him?" Some men see themselves as the provider of money, and with this money they can buy the woman they want. What they look like is not important. This may have been true before women were not allowed to work and support themselves, but it is different now! If they can't pony up and get into shape, there is always some man 20 years younger waiting to take their place.

Yeah, it's unfair. But what can you do? I mean, it just seems to be one of many little quirks of our culture that has no real explanation as far as anyone can tell. For some reason, women are always expected to be physically beautiful- which includes being skinny these days. Meanwhile, a man can be heavy but his heaviness comes across as manly stature. Combined with a powerful personality, a "big" man may be very attractive and appealing (For example, Tony Soprano was somewhat of a sex symbol to a lot of women).
However, not all men agree that skinny women are the most appealing. I personally can't stand it when a woman is so skinny that her arms look boney and her ribs show. I've seen pictures of models in swimsuits where the viewer is obviously intended to be looking at her breasts... but I'm too distracted by her rib cage. It's kind of gross.
And it really makes me upset when people start calling a woman FAT because she's heavier than super-skinny. That's ridiculous. I like girls that have a nice soft, cuddly look to them. I don't want to hug a woman and feel her hard bones all over. That's gross.

Not by her weight unless she's anorexic or bulemic(then she needs help). Also weight isn't an easy thing to judge by. I weigh 105 pounds and people online would think I'm a rail, but since I'm also onIy 5'0 tall..i'm not just skin and bones. It's proportionate to my height. I don't see what the big deal is for a man to judge a woman on her physical fitness though when it comes to dating them. Women do the same thing. If you aren't attracted to the person, it makes having a relationship difficult and pointless. If it comes to a career or simply a job that this person is applying for, yes & no depending on the position. A physically out of shape person can't be a personal trainer, but they could be a wonderful lawyer or secretary etc..

It's a double standard. Some women are getting as picky as men are about looks and other women don't want to put up with all sorts of things that women did in the past. Money doesn't cut it for a lot of women; we want a decent human being as a partner.

What also gets me is how these men lead themselves to believe that supermodel types will literally throw themselves at them. What they don't realize is that these women often won't even notice them unless they are waving money at them. They also don't realize that not all women are superficial and interested in money. If he's a rich fat man with a poor attitude, he's not going to have much luck.

Well what else is there men can judge women by ? It aint like a poor good looking man can get a rich woman. A rich woman still wants an equally rich man. Housework ? Right not todays liberated women. So what is left ? Paying alimony and child support to a whale one has never been attracted to in the first place ? No thank you.

Yes, I agree with you.
But - the nature of human being is little different than what we think.
Like : Male and female wants their spouse, Friend or any thing, in good shape just to see them feel happy. Each and every male and female wants happiness in their life, but the style, way and method differes from person to person.
It is nothing but a created or assumed mental satisfaction but when they go to bed for enjoyment, every one gets the same pleasure either they are with fat, thin or normal body structure.

Not all men do this. The character flaws of those who do pretty much speak for themselves.
Consider them the male equivalent of the women who insist on dating a man who is "ambitious", yet personally aspires to nothing more than marrying a wealthy mate and living a pampered work-free existence.

Yeah, and I've seen some guys who are not so blessed in the looks department who will only give the time of day to some young pretty thing and then if they see a woman who is less than perfect, they laugh or make derogatory comments.
Yes, it's happened to me on a few occasions.

The same right women have to judge men on their weight when they are carrying extra baggage. We all do it to everyone. Most of us do look deeper into the person and find positive character traits, but we are not "greater than thou". We judge men, like they judge us.
