Once it starts boiling, will heating it longer make it any hotter, or am I just wasting time and energy?

Under atmospheric conditions, no. All of the energy you put in will be used to convert the water into steam. The only way you can get the water hotter is to increase the pressure (as in a pressure cooker).

* Once it starts boiling * it's impossible to heat it further, all the energy will be latent heat and not sensible heat.

However, it's possible, albeit extremely difficult, to heat water past its usual boiling point. Take a large-ish, spherical (open at the top), extremely smooth, immaculately clean glass vessel and fill it with absolutely pure water. Heat it evenly and you'll get the water to exceed its boiling point. The water is so stable, with no sharp points at the periphery or chemical imbalances, that it absorbs more heat than is normally possible in a liquid state and it becomes superheated liquid. Then drop a single salt crystal into the water, and it erupts into boil. It's quite spectacular!

It does not get any hotter as water stays at the same temperature until it all has changed its state in this case to steam but the steam can be reheated to produce superheated steam ~~

THE ONLY WAY TO INCREASE THE BOILING POINT OF 212 F ( WHICH IS AT SEA LEVEL ) , IS TO BE AT A PLACE LOWER THAN SEA LEVEL . THE DEAD SEA IS AROUND 1000 ' BELOW SEA LEVEL AND THE ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE IS GREATER . THE HIGHER PRESSURE THERE WOULD BE CONSIDERED NORMAL TO THAT REGION . AS TO HOW MUCH HIGHER THAN 212 F IT WOULD BOIL I DON'T KNOW , BUT IT WOULD BE HIGHER .

yes you can: by adding some salt we can increase boiling point of water because of the new intermolecular force between the salt ions and water molecules
