Top up the cooling system with COOLANT not water, this will probably solve the problem.

It could be your thermostat. If it's broken or stuck open, the car will run too cold and the heater won't heat up either.

Mine did that. My brother told me to check the water level in my radiator. He said if it is too low the heater will blow cold air. He was right. I added water to my radiator and it fixed the problem. Good luck.

Certainly top it up if needed. Could be thermostat as joking joe says or even an air lock. A visit to your local repair man seems in order unless you really know what your doing

When the coolant is low the first thing that happens is the heater starves for fluid and stops working.

top it up with water...

make sure the heater controls actually operate the matrix...

if its a Ka, etc, buy a new stepper motor coz the operating switch is electric...
