They found a friend of mine that had been dead for a week or more sitting on the couch watching T.V. I was told that I didn't want to go see the body. Things like that do not bother me. Would there have been a smell? There were two cats in there with her all this time. What exactly would she look like & can you go see them at the City Morgue?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here. Can you see your friend's body at the morgue? If you requested, I'm pretty sure you can. I'm sorry for your loss.

Having been and EMT/PAAMEDIC,combat medical tech I personnally would say to keep memories of the way she was alive and not the decomposed state she was found. So it would be best not to go see her in this state.

Better that you did see her. I once found a man who had been dead for a week . It had been Very hot,(July) and it was not a pretty sight.

Oh boy!!!!!! this does sound sick.
As much as I would like to see my Friend I advise you wait till the body has been embalmed.
if this is not what you would like then I would have to believe you have some morbid curiosity

Maybe its better that you dont!

Your body decomposes rapidly, bloating and discoloration set in.

Why dont you want to remember your friend as they were? This may mess with your head! I vote no...

would you want someone close to you to look at your corpse after you had been dead for a while? she might not have wanted you to.

maybe you should be a coroner or something.
