I feel for ya, I really do. I get heartburn a lot, and I'm only 19. Anyway, try not to eat anything before going to bed. When you do eat before bed, the acids can go back up into your esophagus and cause that burning feeling. You can also take some antacids, like gaviscon (Works like a charm!) You should also see if your doctor will prescribe you some protonix. It's like prilosec but it's a prescription med. Protonix is supposed to heal the lining of your esophagus, while gaviscon just takes the pain away. And one other thing, try not to stress as much. I found that when I don't stress out as much, my heartburn isn't as bad, or it's not there at all. Stress can really aggravate it. Hope I helped some!

Identify the problem!! You should not have heartburn every night. You need to find the cause of it and fix it there, not by treating the symptoms with antiacids. Tell your school nurse, doctor, whoever - you may have GERD or some other reflux issue. Heartburn is acid in your esophagus, over time that eats away the lining and can cause bigger problems. You should not be having heartburn every night, get it checked.

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aMHAI
The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.
heartburn the most common symptom of acid reflux disease (also known as gastroespohageal reflux disease, or GERD). Heartburn feels like a burning pain in the center of the chest. It is caused by acid from the stomach backing up into the esophagus. is a symptom of acid reflux disease (GERD) Also known as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

Prilosec. Take it once a day. You really need to treat it so you won't get Barrett's Esophagus like I did. I had heartburn since I was about 12.

My dads nearly 50 and sometimes gets heartburn after greasy food...hes tried milk (and i'm not doubting it'll work for most or some ppl) but he found it actually made him feel sicker..wat he does instead is get a glass of cold water and mix in a tea spoon of bi carb soda...it'll make you burb a couple of times and it'll make you feel better...and if you can't stand the taste just add a bit of sugar to make it a bit more bareable =)

My husband has to take medicine for his heartburn daily. Alcohol usually makes it worse. He takes prilosec OTC and it seems to do the trick pretty well. Or have you tried pepcid complete? Kills my occasional heartburn every time.
