That's a mobile video processor. If your laptop has a good processor and 1-2 gigs memory you should be able to play it on the lowest setting. You are limited you can't upgrade a laptop video card.

It actually supports Shader 4.0. It should have no problems with older games that just need Shader 1.1. Since 8400M GS has only 16 stream processors and uses 64 bit memory interface, it can only play most games at low settings.

Yes it does, but 8400 GS will not play hellgate for sure. You might want to for 8600GT or atleast a 8500GT.
