Ok, how come EVERY Disney star becomes a singer? And some of them arent that good! Kyle Massey isnt that good, Keke Palmer, and mmaaannnnyyy others. The only REALLY good ones that stand out are: Raven, Miley, Ashley, Hilary (when she was Lizzie), and thats about it. Vanessa is...ok....But it seems like if you are a Disney actor, you are a Disney singer. If I was offered a singing job, sure, I would accept, but only for the experience and the money. I probably wouldnt go far with it.

True. I wish Disney wouldnt do that. Just like for HSM. They are squeezing everything they can out of it.

Singing is one of the key arts most Disney kids are expected to have some ability in as entertainers.
Way back when Disney started out and created the Mickey Mouse Club back in the 50s they have always designed the shows around the 3 pillars of entertainment arts: acting, singing, and dancing. The idea was to produce something that stimulated the senses to instill a form of excitement and/or emotion with the performance.
These elements wasn't just put into the show for Mickey Mouse Club, but also their films. Live action films like "Mary Poppins" (Julie Andrews) and "Bedknobs & Broomsticks" (Angela Lansbury) incorperated songs and dance numbers into the acting, this also translates for nearly all of their animated films (Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Cinderella, etc.) though the acting portion for these was limited to voice acting only.
Over the years as Disney grew bigger the shows and films became more specialized to suit the type of show and story being portrayed. Disney films didn't always have to have characters burst into song or suddenly dance around, they were like any other film and relied on the character's acting, but Disney still wanted mutli-talented performers that can do all three (sing, dance, and act) because then they could still use them in different projects instead of constantly hiring new people every week. This not only worked out for Disney, but for the performers as well since they were constantly employed and boosted their fame and recognition with all the projects they've done.
Today's stars are no different from the first 1950's Disney kids (like Annette Funicello) and are trying to establish a Disney career as an all-round performer to build fame and recognition so that they can keep working. These days the majority of the kids hired by Disney TRY to do all three, but very few of them have actually been properly trained and tend to be good at one, okay in a second, and mediocre in the third. I think that's the reason why a lot of the recent Disney stuff has gotten "Blah" because they just don't have the type of performers that were diciplined enough and took pride it actually mastering all three arts, then just cranking out any show, CD, or movie with them in it just to keep business up.

That's the Disney way, to have so called mutli talented kids. Some of them are pretty good but others do tend on the suckage level. I like Keke Palmer a lot. I don't care for Raven and Hilary Duff was good at first but now she is just boring. If you count Lindsay Lohan who used to be a Disney girl, I think she is the worst. Miley is good at her genre. I think Ashley Tisdale is really talented. So is Christy Carlton Romano (Kim Possible). The real problem I see is, they all tend to sing alike.

no not every disney star nowadays is a singer but yeah most of them are. these are the ones that arent: Raviv Ullman (good thing because hes right hes not really good at singing), Dylan & Cole Sprouse, Amy Bruckner and Brenda Song .
they were in the Dream is a Wish video but thats the only singing theyve done.
Jason Earles hasnt done any either. maybe hes too old.
Emily Osment has only done one song i believe but she seems good.
does Christy Carlson Romano even have a cd? she is good though
i really love Ashley Tisdale. shes the only one with a cd that i love listening to.
Hilary Duff is eh...With Love is pretty good but thats about it. This is What Dreams are Made of is ok. i used to love her music though im not sure why.
Aly & AJ are good singers but i can hardly listen to them anymore. im sorta turned off to them and im starting to think theyre stuck up.

I absolutely hate Vanessa Hudgens. She's a bad singer. Ashley and Miley are my fave Disney channel singers. I hate Hannah montana but I like Miley ( does that make sense?) I like Ashley's style more, and she's always smiling in pics. Not like little miss nude hudgens over there.

Thank you, everytime my little cousin is watching Disney, there is always some little actor or actress lip syncing to their synthensized voice enhanced song and dancing in a video like they have talent. It's soooo annoying.

My friends and me don't like Vanessa Hudgens. I'd rather see Ashley Tisdale than her, because I think Ashley always shows happiness for us and I like her style. Ashley's style more teenagers. Vanessa's??? OUCH like older than she is

Because little kids don't realize they suck, so Disney just feeds off their actors popularity, knowing that kids will buy up whatever stuff they release.
