It's just a song but I am sure it must mean something. I think it is like the old saying "You can't see the forest for the trees". It's symbolic of many people going through life and never really noticing the beauty around them. If the rain is meant to symbolize tears...then the song would be asking.........can't you see my pain?

Kinda of like the concept of looking outside the box. Not just that rain is falling, but everything about the rain & everything it represents! That is really deep & I could'nt be explained on here!
