No, it doesn't bug me to go barefoot anywhere. It isn't that harsh if you're a regular barefooter, and feet don't need support even on pavement; a survey showed the guys pulling the rikshaws, running on pavement all day long, had very few foot problems. Far less than folks wearing footwear all the time!

Never, unless you feel kinky about the "muck" people throw away. I try and go barefoot whenever I can; lush feeling when you step out onto dewy grass on an early morning in the garden, or through hot sand on the beach, or even if it's cold in bad weather, or over rough moss on the moors. At home it's adorable, padding around on the tiles and feeling the comfort when you hit a carpet. Good for your health anyway.

No. As long as it's not too hot, I like to go barefoot. Hillbilly at heart, and by birth. Ever walk up a well travelled holler ("hollow" to non-hillbillies). Nothing like that on the bottom your feet on a hot summer day.

I like barefoot downtown strolls a lot & don`t don`t mind filthy, black soles!
