I received my Superbad DVD today, but when I went to watch it, the first disk with the movie didn't work. I popped in the disk and it plays the previews and comes up with the main menu, but when I try to play the movie it just freezes on a black screen. I tried playing the movie by using the chapter menu, but as soon as the first menu comes up the disk freezes.
When I say it freezes, I just get a black screen (or the chapter screen), but I can't use any of the navigation buttons. In fact, when I press any button I just get the red circle with a line indicating that feature isn't available. The only thing that worked was pressing the eject button.
I know it's not a problem with my player because I have never had this happen with any other disk and I watched two other movies after trying to watch Superbad.
Just curious to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

This was the brand new un-rated DVD purchased from Amazon. The disk is in pristine condition.

It depends if you got it on Ebay then that's your problem. Or maybe your disk was scratched. Sorry didn't buy Superbad but those can be your two problems.
