than your partner? If so, don't you think that you might have the wrong partner?

My partner is my best friend, and his feelings always come first just as mine come first to him. There are exceptions to every rule. If a friend has an emergency (illness, death in the family, accident, etc) my partner and I are close enough to understand extraordinary circumstances. So, I (we) will put that first.

Good and thoughtful question!

Hi. I trust both. I guess in some situations I have to pick sides but my partner is more important to me at the moment. Many people believe friends feelings are more important than partners, It does not mean it is the wrong person for you, It just means you are more protective of one than the other.
Good luck.
Hope this has helped.

i think it depends on certain things. I know for my parents, who have been happily married for 26 years (after knowing each other for only 6 weeks before), each other's feelings come FIRST. Me, I'm only 21, and I figure that any girl I'm with right now, I'm not going to end up marrying her. We'll have fun for a while, and then we'll each move on. But my friends, well, I'll be with them a lot longer. So, in my case, I put my friend's feelings first. My parents are in a different stage of relationship than I am. In their stage, your partner is more important. In my stage, my friends are more important. These include both my male and female friends. It depends on what kind of relationship and what stage your relationship is in.

It depends on the situation. If the feeling is something that affects me and my partner...then I really need to take theirs into consideration more than people who are not as intimately affected. But if it is situation that I have the luxury of agreeing or following whichever opinion I agree with...it depends on who is right. I would never put one before the other on a regular basis though. That would breed contempt.

I don't have a partner at the moment, so my friends feelings are always tops. :-)

NO I would have to say that they are all equal really if it is good friends that I connect with quite well as I see my friends as a part of my family. Besides they all know me quite well if anyone of them is ever in need the others will understand when I need to be there for them.

You must always rely on your own feelings, If you feel good about your actions then you are right, If you feel bad about your actions, Then you are probably wrong.

Truthfully no. My husband gets first priority over any of my friends. I love my friends dearly though... but I took my vows with him.
