I have a Toshiba laptop that is wireless enabled that I would like to use with this wireless broadband on my PC.
How is gods name do I do this????
I installed the disc that came with the modem onto my laptop and followed the wizard to creat a new wireless connection via the network places in my computer but nothing is happening!
Please can someone give me a numpties guide on how to do this.

Well, if the router is already installed and working you are nearly there.

Go to the laptop, no CD needed at all, in the lower right hand corner of the display you should see a small wireless connector, it will look like a single computer or an small antenna depending on the operating system. (If its not there, click on start, Control Panel, Network Adapters to find your wireless adapter)

When you double click on the wireless adapter a screen will open which should let you VIEW AVAILABLE NETWORKS.
It should be at the lower right hand corner, click on that tab. All available networks will be shown, don't be surprised to see more than just yours! All you do is click on your SSID (wireless network name). If you have set a password (which you should have in the original router setup) you will be asked for it. Just enter it twice and you laptop will connect.

Once a router is setup, it is setup, there is no need to run any CD again. It is a standalone device and will work all by itself, even without any computer being connected!

To help you further or give very specific assistance, We need to know the router brand and your operating system being used on the Toshiba.

It really isn't difficult to connect, just basically need to know what your wireless router is "named" called the SSID, and tell your laptop to connect to that from the wireless adapter screen all on the laptop. (Has nothing to do with the original machine used to setup the router at all!

Hope that helps, Merry Christmas and God Bless

Check ur router configuration. If it is dhcp enabled, then it is easy to setup a computer. Right click on ur wireless network connection in the system tray and select view available wireless networks. Click on Refresh Network list to find ur router. Click connect. If you dont have any security settings enabled, it will connect straight.
No need to install ur cd.
