I like role playing or fantasy games. Remember, im a girl, so I dont really like war or shooting games too much... But if you think its fun, go ahead and recommend it.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is being Ported in February
I believe Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (And the 2nd one) is avalible which is an absolutly amazing RPG
Diablo 2 is a little old but is always an option, and is fun.
Warcraft 3 Battlechest, it's an RTS but ridiculously fun
World of Warcraft is fun, but it has a $15 monthly fee since it's an MMO
Those are my top choices that I can think of off the top of my head. If your running an Intel Mac, I'd suggest buying a copy of XP and running it natively. You'll get way more options.

Heroes of Might and Magic V looks like a fun game. Though I could not compare it to Starcraft or Diablo 2. I think it would come in a nice second with a good blend of quests and strategy combination.
Also an older game but cute that came out was called GhostMaster. You actually get to play ghosts and scare people. Its cheesy but fun. Each level becomes more and more complicated to scare with a larger pool of ghost types to pull from.
Of course Starcraft 2 is coming out eventually, but who knows when that may actually hit the stands.
oh and of course World of Warcraft online.

I believe Baulders gate or EVE Online have Mac versions. Also Never Winter Nights 2 is for the mac thats coming out soon I believe.
