How do you do this to select files from x to y.. Not like command click where you select single files.. shift + click so you select the range. eg

So you click X and then hold down shift an click Y on windows to select them and all the files inbetween... how do you do it on mac

You click, hold shift and drag over to select the files that you want.

Shift + click allows you to select a sequential serries of files
like

3
4
5 together where as control + click allows you to select random files within a series of lists.
