If it's done right. Like Sarah Silverman or Dave Chapelle. Random black jokes by dumb white people usually not very funny.

Yes. People need to lighten up about racial humor. If someone makes a racial joke, and it's not intended to hurt anyone, what's the big deal? I have co-workers of several different ethnic back-rounds and sexual orientations, and we make fun of each other all the time. We all have a good time and laugh when we rip on each other. It all depends on how it's being said. If some one is just trying to make a joke, no big deal. Like they say if you can't laugh at yourself who can you laugh at. But when someone makes a statement or comment that is meant to be hurtful or to upset someone, that's different. The problem is being able to distinguish between the two. Luckily, the people I work with all have a great sense of humor for the most part (except for Bill, he's such a f-a-g sometimes) and we have been working together long enough to know when someone is just joking around.

In this society yes but when you look outward to some, it can be hurtful. Such as if you tell racial jokes about certain people to your friends, someone might be offended but not tell you. OH btw I don't think the bath suggestion you gave me was humorous at all...

No. I love comedy, but not at the expense of other people (especially race).

I work in a large, diverse company. There are two disgruntled groups (African-American and Hispanic-American) who are attacking each other with racial slurs and insults; and, they are attacking other groups of people based on race and ethnicity. I don't like it and have stayed away from these individuals.

Any type of humor, that makes another person feel badly about him/herself, is NEVER a good idea. Whether it's ethnicity, racial, male, female, etc., handicapped, is in very poor taste and doesn't show you in a good light.

Refrain from participating in it. It's cruel and mean-spirited. Always see yourself the way the other person would feel. Think about it.

My vote is yes. So is some male/female humor. So are some blonde jokes. I can dish it and I can take it. Some people just take life WAY too seriously.

Yeah! anyone who thinks its bad and inappropriate is only keeping racism going. There are two sides of racism. Those who do and those who react. It people don't react to it then people doing it would have no reason to do it. Make racism a funny thing, thats the easiest way to eliminate it.

As long as you know t's a joke and not all people of that race are like that. As long as you don't take a JOKE, seriously. If you just laugh at it because it's a joke and not because you actually believe that people of that race are like that. If you believe that then that makes you a racist. But it depends though.

I want to say it is as long as it is not meant to demean or be mean spirited. But I honestly can not think of any that I think are funny.
