i had my postpartum check-up 5 weeks after i had given birth to my daughter...she was born Oct.19th...my doctor didn't do a vaginal examine, all he did was ask if i was feeling okay and talked about birth control. Is he suppose to check me or does it matter?

Get a different doctor..especially if you tore or had an episiotomy..the point of a postpartom is to make sure the uterus went back to size and make sure you healed ok without infection..which you have to examine. good luck and try calling a different doctor if you still unsure and just ask..they would have the best advice about it :)

Mine has always checked. He needs to make sure that everything is alright and he cannot do that by talking. I would see another doctor.
