Breast are sore. When I take off my bra I want to scream. What is going on. I'm 39. Is it menopause.?

Never had this much discomfort even when I have my cycle. Is this the first of other problems. Husband has not been playing with them. Can't sleep on stomach with comfort, have slight pain. Not pregnant.

Menopause doesn't cause breast pain making you want to scream. It wouldn't hurt to go for a check-up & see what is going on with your body. You could have Fibrocystic Breasts, an infection in your milk ducts...the only way to find out, what is going is to be seen..

Fibrocystic changes occur in about half of all women, mostly during child bearing years. The cause appears to be normal hormonal fluctuations because the symptoms of fibrocystic breasts usually increase right before menstruation and subside after menstruation. Additionally, these monthly changes usually stop after menopause.

Fibrocystic breast changes used to be referred to as a disease. Since the condition is so prevalent, it is no longer considered a disease.

Symptoms
The following symptoms of fibrocystic breasts usually peak right before menstruation. They can range from mild to severe.
Breast pain and tenderness
Thickened, lumpy areas in the breast tissue
Feeling of fullness in the breasts
Non-cancerous cysts
Nipple discharge or sensation changes

First of all talk to you doctor. I would also try switching to soy or organic milk. I have read on more than one occasion that the junk they feed cows to grow more milk can cause pain in the breast and breast cancer to grow more rapidly. I believe it is growth hormones they feed the cows. I have been switched for a month now. I did feel different this time around, but I will know more in the next three month.
