This depends on the state. If they gave you a ticket already, you are not getting off with a warning- they would have told you that when the pulled you over.

In California, the fine for failure to stop is around $150, but the real cost is in the effect on car insurance. If it is your first offense, you may be able to attend traffic school classes so it does not put points on your record for car insurance.

Again, this all depends on what state you live in, so call the number on the ticket or visit you state's website & find out the specifics. It is different in each state. Good luck.

It depends on where you live, in Michigan it is about $80. The cost isn't the thing, the points on your liscense is the worst result of a no stopping ticket. Its three points in Michigan which is half way to a suspended liscense. Then there are the increased insurance costs which are significant especially if you are under 25. If it is at all possible, fight it. Most of the time the officer does not show up and the ticket is waived. If your driving record is good so far, the judge may also dismiss it if the officer does show up. You don't need a lawyer or anything. The worse thihng that will happen happen is that you will have to pay the ticket but try to fight it.
