Most people remember traumatic events better than positive activities. Having said that, it is each person's choice as to what we will dwell on. One of my positive memories is:
My father arriving home in his applaince repair truck. I was just tall enough to see the truck from the lowest window. I would then run to the door, grab his leg, stand on his foot, and he would walk around with me plastered to his leg.
A good memory.

living in my house on lake Erie, running with my brother around the yard that was as big as 2 football fields,(we were like twins as we were only 15 months apart and what one of us didn't think of the other did...lol. the cold ,white winters on the lake,i loved them dearly, the best Christmases ever till 1977,the blizzard of 1977 we were snowed in for two weeks. it was so great.the saddest Christmas in 77 when my dad got terminal cancer and his death in march of 78.(he donated his body to science in hopes to help others in the future) having to move away from my house in 78 and live somewhere else which started a pattern of moving too much in my life....
the best thing i remember about my child hood was my house.....
cheers
