Since Sunday, I think.
It's not as bad as the one I saw on daytime tv the other day. This one is for a new brand of tampon and talks about its "special features, and blah blah, blah," but what caught MY attention was at the end they say "We're NOT number ONE, but we're UP THERE!"

not sure what P & S stands for but it doesn't surprise me that the content on the front page would be something that personal. Pretty much these days nothing is sacred it's all about the money and grabbing the attention of the consumer. I really feel for the younger set my god how embarassing it must be to be watching a movie with your mixed company friends and have a commercial come on that shows an Always pad that they make to look like a recliner... makes you wish for the good old days when you only saw ads for condoms in mens magazines and pads n plugs in Cosmo... Sigh...

Since Women started coming out of the kitchen and walking into thier own jobs! Somewhere about sixtey fivesh years ago or so,, about 20 years after that they invented "The Pill",and then instead of getting "Knocked up", they were "Knocking down the bucks", at thier jobs that were paying them, and MORE of them then in any time in history,,,So,,now, instead of seeing nothing but Aqua Velva commercials during Monday Night Football, you watch what they're "Hawking" on the Monday night tradition of American Men...
Whille it's true that they run ads aimed at Women, even on Monday's game, they do it subtley to this day,,but now, you'll see ads for the 'Next Great Mini Van of the Century">???? Wuttttt?/?? And watches and other jewlery gets in on the action too, where in the past that was not the best place to set up a Jewlery ad (Unless it was within' 2 weeks of X-Mas), that might cost as much as $400,000.00 for one minute of air time., which if I can still remember is the first break, after the starting kickoff.. I used to sell air time for Monday Night Football, and a "Sports package" we called it, with spots on Oakland A's games, Sacramento Kings, and Warriors, the monday game of course, when it was still on ABC,,,And,,,,uhh,,,OH..yeah...The San Jose Sharks... that's it... almost forgot about the hockey thing there....Wow...that' was awhile back too,,and I happen to be a native San Josean' that was just left there scratching my head wth the Hockey thing...I had never seen anything so weird, except the zillions of people that actually are able to stay awake for a Soccer game,,(And I lived in England for a couple years too..Good Grief..Another story though...that's why they sell Women's "Anything they can" on Sporting events for the last 30 or 35 years now... Although, it's got to be done to target the man that, who in the past watched with the boys, is now just as likely to have the girls over when thier guys get together on Sundays and trip on the tube all day...Lots orf $$$$ hasn't it always been about that??? 1 vote "Yes" from me on that one anyway...
And, I've got the stange feeling that you and I are not only on two different pages, we're on two different continents too.
Doh!
