Here's the answer:
Step 1 is critically important- electing either Ron Paul or any democrat to be president, since only they oppose unnecessary imperialism.
Step 2 is to elect a congress that actually has a backbone, in case our next president, too, becomes drunk on power.

Educate our children of the power of the popular media. Teach then that not everything they hear there-in is not always truth. Have them understand the concept of, "continue to tell a lie long enough, and the people will begin to believe in it".
Once they understand that they are solely responsible for discovering the reality of things, that there is always another side to a story, and that the media has a clear political agenda. Then, then truth can be seen, heard, and understood.
Its a shame so many here just follow like typical spoon fed sheep.

Bush has been a disappointment to virtually everyone in the USA with a few diehards who still "love" him. How can we really tell whether the people who will eventually battle it out for the top job in America are honest and intelligent? We can listen to their answers at the debates but as we all know 99% of their answers are rehearsed and are the standard stuff they hand out out day after day to their constituents. Take Hillary for example. She is a political robot and rarely makes a false move. Young Obama....he is animated and full of p**s and vineger and spouts off like he knew what he is talking about but who can tell if he is real or merely a good con artist? I wish I could. Biden says it like he thinks it is but he is so far behind in the polls that he will never make it past Iowa. And what about the Republicans? Giuliani? He did this and that in New York and so on, but can he be a president? I doubt it although I do give him credit for cleaning up New York. Romney? Perhaps a better bet because he is a multimillionaire businessman who knows how it is done. I am not sure about him but he figures in my thinking. Huckabee? Not for me. I do not wish to have anyone in the White House who is so close to religion. I believe in God but I want to see church and state completely separated. All of the others? Who can tell? None are outstanding. To answers your question.....I wish I knew how to judge the moral fibre and character of a person without REALLY knowing them personally? We will all try and hope we are correct in our judgment.

We must dethrone the corporate oligarchy presently maintained by our corrupt two-party establishment. We must revamp the government to make it more inclusive and therefore more representative of all of the people by replacing the two-party system with a multi-party system where all points of view have their fair share of representation.

if America would be superpower again - new Bush will come.
Not to be a superpower - that's the goal.
Meanwhile Bush pushed USA in such a deep trouble that
the current American generation already earned it.

bush will only go down in history as succesfully challenging the pelosi/reid regime, no more no less and to make sure no one comes like him you ll need to give up on the american dream and endorse more liberal extremist values like...
cut and run
tax and spend
unilateral surrender
757gate
the jefferson bribery scandal
the non taxpaying us territorial vote grant
36000 carded requests for pork spending unrelated to defense WITHOUT DEBATE authored by pelosi tied to the defense bill
29 BILLION in pork offered by reid with the justification of ...we didnt get our chance under the republicans
equating national defense to ...im not making this up...peanut storage.
hillarycare two
im sure you get the point. total and complete liberal pap.

We cannot ensure our freedom from tyrants or idiots with power. That is the scary truth.
You would think humans might learn a thing or two from history, but to be honest, if history does teach us much that is worthwhile, it's that people are stupid and stubborn and selfish beyond all measure.

SOLUTION:
Don't vote on one issue alone.
The only reason Bush was elected in 2000 was because Conservatives wanted to keep their guns, and he was re-elected in 2004 because the same group didn't want gays to have the right to marry.
If those people had actually looked at his politics instead of his stance on ONE issue, we would be a lot better off right now.
