Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art--
...Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
...Like nature's patient, sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
...Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the new soft fallen mask
...Of snow upon the mountains and the moors--
No--yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
...Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell,
...Awake for ever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
...And so live ever--or else swoon to death.
.....Bright Star by John Keats

Well not exactly poetry but something which rhymes :o) here goes :-
""HUGS""
It's wondrous what a hug can do
A hug can cheer you when you're blue
A hug can say "I love you so"
Or "Gee, I hate to see you go."
A hug is "Welcome back again"
And "Great to see you, where've you been?"
A hug can smooth a small child's pain
And bring a rainbow after rain.
The hug: There's just no doubt about it
We scarcely could survive without it.
A hug delights and warms and charms --
It must be why God gave us arms.
Hugs are great for Fathers and Mothers,
Sweet for sister, swell for brothers
And chances are your favorite aunts
Love them more than potted plants.
Kittens crave them, puppies love them,
Heads of State are not above them.
A hug can break the language barrier
And make your travels so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of them
The more you give the more there's more of 'em,
So stretch those arms without delay
And give someone a hug today!
((((((((((Hug))))))))))
Take Care and God Bless !

I can, yes.
Here's some from Whitman's, 'A Noiseless, Patient Spider':
"And you O my soul where you stand,/ Surrounded, detached, in measureless oceans of space,/ Ceaselessly musing, venturing, throwing, seeking the spheres to connect them,/ Till the bridge you will need to be form'd, till the ductile anchor hold....." I write poems, but I'm no famous poet, and I doubt you'd seek that.

How do I love thee let me count the ways
I love thee to the depth and bredth and height my soul can reach, when feeling out of sight for the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of everydays most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right;
I love thee freely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use in my old grief, and with my childhoods faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose with my lost saints,--- I love thee with the breath, smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and if god choose, I shall but love thee better after death.
My favourite poem

Under such trees in full knowledge
Of what is in glory above them,
And to feel no fear,
But acceptance, compliance.
Fulfilling themselves without pain

A Wise old owl sat on an oak,
The more he saw, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard;
Why aren't we like that wise old bird?
