Something heavy :D. Some of my favorite bands are Sevendust, Alice in Chains, Soil, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Disturbed, and Rammstein. If you know of any bands like those that are really good, please tell me. My local rock station is plagued lately by far too many My Chemical Romance type songs. I prefer a deeper-voiced, rougher sound.

For the first here's some bands:
Gun N Roses
AC/DC
Aerosmith
Since you like Black Sabbath, try Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. Iron maiden is also another metal band you should try. Some thrash metal like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax.
Godsmack is like a copy of Alice in Chains...so try them out I guess.
