Well I just can't stand her sometimes.

No and never did hate her. I cared for her deeply and she died two years ago and I miss her very much still and think about her often, such a lovely, kind person. I think sometimes I married her son because I liked her so very much. Well, that's one pretty good reason if you intend to spend the rest of your life with someone. I liked his Dad too and the fruit doesn't fall too far from the tree.

My Mother in Law is the greatest and takes care of me like a daughter as my Mom is in England. My step mother-in-law was the one I had the problems with.

Now I am nice and polite to mine, but I personally cant stand her! We have had soooo many problems in the past but I guess since we dont see her much its much better. There is such a long story behind all of it, but in a nutshell, she is a drug addict has lost custody of all 4 of her kids, she lived with us 3 different times and every time it ended badly because we got sick of her and her problems because she felt she had no problem. But anyways, she is in a rest home type of place now and is much better off.

Yeah! Mum-in-law always make it difficult for us... They are demanding and sometimes show their ''face'' to us... Don't worry... you are not alone... There are a lot out there... Those daughter-in-laws who are living with their mum-in-law seems to quarrels everyday... they just wouldn't make peace for each other... and some daughter-in-law would have the though of moving to a new house and create a distance within her husband's family... and outsiders may think the daughter-in-law is unfilial... This is what the world is... humans just got to tolerate and give-and-take.... to make the world a better place... =) PEACE!

Didn't hate her. Didn't like her. She didn't like me. She thought her son was too good for the likes of me.

She used to get soooo angry when she saw him buy me a present that wasn't something absolutely necessary for survival. A new microwave? Whyyyyy? A dishwasher? Who needs one? Oh my, oh my. Her son spent so much on stuff she didn't think I should have.

No just don't like her. But then again she doesn't like me either. I put up with her for my kids. I can only hope that I will be a better mother-in-law someday.

I don't care enough about her or even think of her in order to hate her. Having hate for someone is a waste of energy

My Wife and my mom are like oil and water...LOL...it's kind of funny to watch too, because my MOM is one of the meanest old women I've ever met and my wife can hold a grudge like no one else....

MAkes for an interesting Christmas season, let me tell you...

My mother-in-law, unfortunately (as the case maybe....) was deceased before I met my Wife...so I'm not even sure what she was like...

Hating you husband's mother won't solve your problem. Asking why you hate her should be the approach. Having resentment against her can jeopardise the relationship between you and your husband. Remember, your children might be following your footstep in future.
