I keep seeing and hearing all sorts of comments about how this country isn't ready for a female or black president (i.e. Obama / Clinton) and how they would never win the vote because of their position, but are there any of you out there who would actually vote against them for this reason?

I might if we were talking about drama or debate clubs, but as far as president of the USA. My answer would be no. I don't want to put my life and the lives of others on, things like who has the cutest legs , who can hold their breathe longer, or who can drink beer the fastest! And I feel that people is what would be happening if that is the way they voted. I feel that you need to listen to all of them and go with who you feel would do the best. I have to tell you the voters that make me angry are the ones who don't vote, but gripe about what happens with the results after.

I only vote for the candidate which in my opinion will be the best President. I will not vote for Hilary because she is a woman or Obama because he is mixed race and has the Muslim name.
We should vote on who is the best one to lead our country and forget all these minor things.

No, I wouldn't vote against them. I' vote for who ever I think can deliver the best results for the country. If anything I 'd probably vote for them even more because of this. Good luck to them!

No, I would never vote against someone solely because of their race or gender

No , that would never be a issue for me.
but, I would never vote them into office for the novelty of it.
if they don't have a proven track record in politics, i'll simply vote for someone who does.
do the current people your suggesting have what it takes in my book?
I dont believe so.

No - I wouldn't vote for them because they're both Dems. I vote depending on a few issues.

Not voting for someone because of those reasons is almost as retarded as voting for someone for those same reasons.

It hurts me to say it, but I would never vote for a Muslim, an atheist, or a person of middle eastern descent.
