I think Haliburton and Blackwater are two fantastic and exceptional patriotic American corporations. However, both of these enterprises seem to attract more than their fair share of negative comments from lefwingers.

I also happen to hold stock in several blue chips, which may or may not include Haliburton and/or Blackwater. But suppose they were included...what then? Would you condemn me for it?

Would that cement your already negative opinion about me?

If you had owned stock in Halliburton in 2001, you would have lost money. Everyone forgets that they were hurt, too, and as a result, they have now been forced to spin off KBR, their Nigerian operations.

(And by the way, Blackwater is not a corporation, so you don't own stock and neither does the guy below.)

But I'll tell you this, I like you. (Or I like dead marxists. Now I'm confused...)

To answer your question;

I don't see how the left wingers could hate you for owning Haliburton stock, or Blackwater.

If it is good enough for George Soros (MoveOn.org) $62 million dollar investment and Micheal Moore's 2,000 + shares of Haliburton stock, I would think the left would praise you for your sound and wise investment in two successful American Companies.

Conservative hypocrisy at the best If CNN or MSNBC owners were funding the mosque then you'd be the first one to spew your hate towards all the liberals/Democrats/Obama etc Tell me honestly if I am wrong but you won't do that because your fav tv network Fox News is at stake FYI Al Waleed is the 2nd largest shareholder in the Fox News ( 7 % is worth valued at $ 2.3 billion )

I own international stocks and if among my stocks were Halliburton stocks (BlackwaterUSA is a private entity and is not traded publicly in NASDAQ, the S&P or Dow Jones); I'd be happy.

No, it would never reflect negatively upon you; however, that being said, I understand that people might hate you because you don;t drink the liberal Kool-Aid and they accuse you of being a "Filthy Neocon"; well, we neocons must stick together on our conservative principles, regardless of who is in office.

Actually it really irks me that people have so many negative opinions about our president and yet, have never met the man inpersonand sat down with him for a few hours and converse with him; they might be surprised.

(No, I've never met the man; but I've never met an unreasonable man in my entire life.)

It's not a matter of which stocks you own. Micheal Moore has shares in Haliburton and the left just loves him. If you are able to mouth the platitudes of the left, and pretend to embrace their policies they will love you no matter how big a hypocrite you are.

I bet many liberals own stock in both. Most don't even know it, many wouldn't care, when you get right down to brass tacks.

Personally, I let my advisor handle all that stuff for me. As long as my portfolio is growing, I don't bother with petty questions. That's what I pay him for. But I'd be proud to have either company in my portfolio.

As far as libs' feelings towards you, well....wear it as a badge of honor, my friend.

How about we focus on who really OWNS Fox News, Rupert Murdoch. A liberal jew. And if you don't think he influences what is and is not broadcast, you are naive. Fox news and all of it's personalities are just controlled opposition.
