What's deep ecology?

i'm writing an essay on deep ecology. I dont know what it is and i need detailed information about it

It is kind of looking at the big picture, and fitting into your enviroment sort of thing.

You need to read some Gary Snyder peoms. And I can't think of the guy's name, but Deep Ecology was the title of his book.
