If you do cross over into ,edicine you will have some additional courses to take because nursing pre-reqs do not meet pre-med standards....at least not the nusring pre-reqs here in FL. Courses that you may need to take later:

Chem I and II

Bio I and II

Organic Chem I and II

Bio Chem I (maybe)

Physics I and II

You can major in anything, but you might need more of the pre-med coursework to get a decent grade on the MCAT. I would pick up a study guide at the bookstore and see what the test is like. You can always take courses while you are working and then apply to medical school when you are ready. It's hard but doable.

For the Philippines, I believe you would need additional science units for nursing to be a full pre-med course. You may want to check out the school registrars so you can overload on science subjects during your nursing course so you would be ready for medicine.
